Defogger

The separator are projected and constructed for an efficiency and economic separation of the gaseous tide from the liquid drops dragged aspirated air or, to delay at most the obstruction of the following filter avoiding expensive maintenance interventions.

Operating principle

When the aeriform, impregnated of polluting liquid (oil, hydrocarbons, glycol solution, ammonia, and so on) goes through the separator, the gas part moves freely through the prefilter and the possible finisher defog net.  The liquid drops, because of their greater inertia force, can not effect direction changes and consequently are bringing into contact with the filter surface and here they are hold.   While the drops penetrate in the filter and deposit on the rows which form the filtering net, they increase of dimension and weight, gliding in this way toward the inferior part of the separator and precipitating for gravity. The purified vapour from the polluting substances, goes out from the superior part of the separator.Generally the separator is installed in the way that the gas flow goes through the filter unit vertically from the bottom to the top, although other installation systems can be adopted for particular situations. If you have to divide particles lower than 5 micron, it is possible to use 2 separators in a sequence. The first one is used to agglomerate the fogs in bigger drops, easy to filter by the second separator. If there is a problem of stoppage, you can use variable density separators.

Construction characteristics

The defogger separators, are built in painted and strong steel plate with a coat of paint and double coats of paint to finish it.

Cyclon-form conveyer for air entering tangent to the hopper.

Inferior hopper for gathering and discharge, completed of inspection porthole and discharge shutter.

Cylindrical unit furnished with inspection porthole, and system for the insertion and extraction of the filtering part.

Filtering part constituted by a bad of fiber of type 280, formed by a series of nets completely in steel AISI 304.

Finisher defog net constituted by a bed of type 415 and by a series of micronets completely in steel AISI 304.
